Meet Roberto Palumbo

    From La Spezia, Italy, graduated with a Masters Degree in history from the University of Genoa. His research has been published in a series of studies relating to the history of Northern Italian roads, from the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries. He also published his studies on the strategies implemented by Italian governments during the plague epidemics of the seventeenth century. He made his debut in historical nonfiction with “Fango, Chronicles of a Flood”, the disaster of Cinque Terre in 2011. 1657 The Year of the Plague, was winner of the City of Cattolica International award 2018; winner of the City of Santa Margherita Ligure International award 2019; finalist in Lands of Liguria award 2018, selected book in the Lake Como International Literature award 2024.
